My son is on it and i'm worried abouut the lack of naloxone.
Can subutex tablets be crushed and used intervienously?

Yes, Laurie is right, and that is the reason Naloxone is in Suboxone. If you find evidence that your son is shooting it you may have to step in and get him changed to Suboxone. I think another reason the Film Strips are better is because they are almost impossible to shoot. I have heard of some crazy people shooting even Suboxone. I don't know how they got around the Naloxone issue, they didn't say. But generally speaking, if they shoot Suboxone they will go into rapid wds that even an ER can't get them out of.
One reason shooting Subutex is so dangerous is because when shot into a vein the drug becomes much more potent. Anything is more potent when administered as IV. With Subutex an amount that safe to take orally can become an over dose if shot IV. So if you can intervene in what your son does try to make sure he takes it orally. Can you hold the pills and make him take it in front of you? That might be best.
