Hi cherl, secobarbital is normally used for sleep disorders and prior to surgeries for relaxation. It is a barbiturate (like firoinal) but usually not prescribed for migraines. I do know how painful they can be. Have you discussed alternative meds with your doc yet? My daughter has found Imitrex very helpful. Sorry I couldn't help more. I hope you find relief soon!
best wishes,
chris

the fiorinal is used to relieve symptoms of tension headache, it contains aspirin, Caffeine and butalbital if you combine Fiorinal with other sedatives, barbiturares sleeping pills antihistamines or other CNS depressants may have additive effects such as tiredness, drowsiness and lack of coordination if possible it is best taken on an empty stomach I am not sure about secobarbital I know the classification but can't tell you it is safe to take both at the same time without talking to your doctor please be safe, best wishes,
