Yes, Qvar can be used as a substitute for Flovent. They are both corticosteroid inhalers. The doses may differ so you can only change over under your doctors supervision.
Beclomethasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Beclomethasone inhalation is used to prevent asthma attacks. It will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun.
