Yes, Qvar can be used as a substitute for Flovent. They are both corticosteroid inhalers. The doses may differ so you can only change over under your doctors supervision.
Beclomethasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Beclomethasone inhalation is used to prevent asthma attacks. It will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun.
Flovent is a corticosteroid. It works by reducing inflammatory reactions in the airways in response to allergens and irritants in the air. Flovent is used to prevent bronchial asthma attacks. It will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun.
