Hi, My name is James, and i've had seizures since I was 2 years old, have been on dilantin all my life and now up to 900mg daily, still have them, but about 8 mos. ago go I started back smoking but its an electric cigarette,so all I get from it is the nicotine,no tar or chemicals of the tobacco, And I noticed I seem to be having fewer seizures, I havn't had a grand mal, just more of a petit-mal, can the nicotine be helping me with my seizures?

Hello James. Yes certainly, nicotine has a calming effect and would there for play a role in lessening the size of the seizure. Glad to hear that its working in that respect. I'm not a doctor, so you might ask your doctor to confirm or get her/his opinion. Very best to James, sorry about a late response to your question, and continued good health to you, pledge
