Can Micardis HCT be used as a diuretic to control weight in patients that do not have hypertension?

I would say no. What this prescribed to you?
There are two drugs in Micardis HCT. Once of them is only used to lower blood pressure (although it can also be used to protect the kidneys in patients with diabetes.), the other is hydrochlorthiazed which is the diuretic. This can be used for exceisve water in the body.
What does your blood pressure typically run? Do you have diabetes or kidney issues?
