My mother experienced a sense of "out-of-body" experience in which she was staring into the distance and wasn't able to respond to us despite telling us she heard us speaking. She quickly responded once we raised our voices to get her attention. Also she experienced on the following night some difficulty maintaining balance and nausea. Her methadone (for pain management due to peripheral neuropathy of unknown origin) does cause hallucinations and nausea, but also there is a potential interaction between Betapace and methadone resulting in afib, which is an issue with my mom and her heart history (she needed a pacemaker when she was 48). Any ideas?
Can methadone and Betapace(sotalol) interact & lead to afib causing a TIA?
