Can lamisil be used for scalp infection for a child of 3years old?

Please call your child's pediatrician before applying this to his/her scalp!!
Children can have different reactions to otc meds than adults.

You certainly gave the better answer RG! I always stay on the side of caution!! (plus, I didn't even SEE ringworm in the question!! I need to be more awake before I answer!)

For treating ringworm of the scalp (tinea capitis), your child's doc would be the best person tol calculate the appropriate Lamisil dose based on the child's weight. For this type of infection, Lamisil is usually taken for six weeks. Only Lamisil oral granules (not tablets) are approved for this use.
