For treating ringworm of the scalp (tinea capitis), your child's doc would be the best person tol calculate the appropriate Lamisil dose based on the child's weight. For this type of infection, Lamisil is usually taken for six weeks. Only Lamisil oral granules (not tablets) are approved for this use.
