Most birth control pills do drastically cut down on acne breakouts but sometimes it takes a cycle or 3 to get the full result. Hormones whether birth control or replacement can take up to 3 full months to level out ( although with the Pill, you should be protected from pregnancy after your first 21 active pills ( the first pack of pills ) taken properly) and after 3 months, you shouldn't have any of the side effects happening.
