I have been taking vicodin and percocet every day for the last 7 months because of ba back injury. I only take 1 a day sometimes 2 on a bad day. I skipped a day and noticed really bad withdrawl symptoms and I knew I need to stop takin them. NOW!! I have horrible anxiety from it. Is it ok to take xanax?

xanax is fine although it doesn't last very long. Make sure you don't get hooked on the xanax because if you think coming off opiates is tough then benzodiazapine withdrawals along with alcohol withdrawals can literally kill you. You haven't been taking the meds for very long and you aren't abusing them really so I would bet that after a couple days you will begin to feel like your old self. Do this now before you really become addicted and your whole life goes down the toilet. Good luck and hang in there... Dave
