Can I take tryptophan and xanax?

Hey fitpak,
Tryptophan, one of the 20 amino acids, is commonly found in many foods. There is no reason I can think of as to why you could not take it with xanax. Tryptophan (tryptan) is prescribed by some doctors to help patients with depression. As long as taken in the appropriate quantity, taking it with xanax should not be a problem.
