Can I take both vicodin and oxycontin n the same day hours apart or at the same time for pain?

Hey gltwyman,

Yes you can take vicodin and oxycontin (oxycodone) in the same day as long as you space them out. If you are taking the oxycontin every 4 to 6 hours, take the vicodin for break through pain in between like at 2 to 3 hours. Just be sure to not take too much acetominophen which is in the vicodin and depending on the formula you have may also be in the oxycodone. The maximum acetominophen in 24 hours is 4000mgs.

yes you can take both in the same day i am allowed three oxycotins a day and four percocet a day but you have to make sure you space them out. the oxycotin usually lasts about three ours which i am on a pretty high dosage and then i take my percocet when the horrible pain starts again for the breaking pain relief. what a life pain and pills isn't life grand!!! well i hope i helped some if you are on anything else please look things up before you take them as you might get a horrible drug response you don't want. good luck to you
