Bactrim DS is usually indicated for UTI's from E. Coli, Otitis Media in people who cant take penicillin, Chronic bronchitis or Upper Respiratory Infection, Travelers diarrhea, and for pneumonia caused by Pneumocytis jiroveci (carinii). Not usually for tooth abcess. Call your dentist ASAP.

cant get to dentist till tuesday. swollen gum, toothache. i have some minocycline and omnicef... and bactrim here at home. will any of these help??

i have been taking bactrim for a week now for a abcessed tooth and i get up this morning and the whole right side of my face is swollen up in my eye
