Can I take ambien or klonipine or xanex with verapamil to sleep?

The following is what the literature says about the use of ambien with verapamil:

verapamil ↔ zolpidem

Applies to: verapamil, Ambien (zolpidem)

Use of drugs that inhibit the isoenzyme CYP450 3A4 may decrease the metabolism and increase the plasma levels of zolpidem. This can result in increased clinical effectiveness and risk of toxicity associated with zolpidem. Monitoring for signs and symptoms of altered zolpidem effect is recommended. Patients should be advised to notify their physician if they experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, confusion, daytime sedation, dizziness, or unconsciousness. A reduction in zolpidem dosage may be necessary.

As long as the doctor is adjusting the ambien accordingly, there should be no problem. The use of xanax or klonopin is not countra indicated with verapamil. So you have that as options too.

You are cerntainly correct! Do not try taking ambien as my friend Laurie gave you the interreactions Stay with the sanax & add a couple of benadryl also if you need it. I wish you the best...
