Can I take 50,000 i.u ergocalciferol daily for 3 months without medical problems?

That dose seems quite high. What are you taking it for?
The usual adult dose for Vitamin/Mineral supplementation is 400 units orally once a day.
Patients should also receive adequate calcium during ergocalciferol therapy and calcium levels should be monitored regularly.
