Can I stop using my Climara patch or do I need to wean off?

Some experts suggest that HRT (hormone replacement therapy) should be gradually reduced rather than stopped abruptly. You should discuss this with your doctor.
Some women do not notice any symptoms if they stop HRT abruptly, while others may experience a recurrence of symptoms such as hot flushes and sweats. These usually go after a few months.

I have friend who currently uses the Climara patch and has lost her Dr. Can someone tell me how she weans off of the patch? She tried calling my Dr. but because she wasn't a patient they wouldn't tell her.
