I received my first prescription today for Paxil (generic). However, I took two pills (300 mg.) of St. John's Wort each day for the past 3 days. I never took it before that, and I haven't taken it today. Can I start taking Paxil today? It says to wait 14 days, but I only took SJW for 3 days. It didn't even have time to start working. Should I wait or can I start Paxil? The Paxil is 20mg.
Can I start taking Paxil if I was taking St. John's Wort for 3 days?

As long as you stop taking SJW today you should be ok to start Paxil today. I don't think 3 days is long enough for you to develop serotonin syndrome.
The symptoms of serotonin syndrome may include nausea, anxiety, agitation, confusion, dizziness and uncontrollable muscle twitching.
Call your doctor is you notice any of these.
