Unfortunately, on monday afternoon i noticed a cold sore on the left upper corner of my lip.I also noticed a cluster of red blisters on the inside of the same region.I started using Abreva on the third day without any result yet.In addition i apply ice and hydrogen peroxide. Are my methods vain or harmful?
If I have had a cold sore for a few days can I still use Abreva?

No, your methods are not in vain.
Abreva (Docosanol) is an antiviral medication used to treat cold sore infections caused by the herpes simplex virus. It shortens the healing time and the length of time symptoms are present.
For best results it should be applied at the first sign of a cold sore.
Abreva needs to be applied five times a day until the cold sore has healed.
See your doctor if the cold sore gets worse or the cold sore is not healed with in 10 days.
