Im 39yr old woman.I was in a bad accident that left me with savere back pain.Iv been taking norco for about 4yrs now.Im taking more & more lately & am afraid of an accidental o.d. I take between 12 to 15 a day,usually 4 @ a time.they dont seem to help my pain anymore but im afraid to stop on my own becouse the the severe physical withdrawl symptoms.do i need med hlp

Hi Tori, yes you can detox at home, I did it. Although I would recomend that you taper your use of Norcos before you stop, withdrawl will be harder if you don't. Look up Thomas recipe it will be helpful. I'm about 30 days out, still misrable but a little lesss miserable everyday. Just let me know when you need support and I'll be happy to provude it. Yes, you can come off the Norco at home and be ok. I also recommend a taper off the medication to prevent the withdrawals. In fact, you need to decrease your use if for no other reason than the excessive amount of acetaminophen that you are consuming which will eventually hurt your liver and kidneys.
