Hydroxyzine is prescribed for a variety of different purposes. For example, uses of hydroxyzine can include relieving itching caused by allergic reactions, treating nausea and vomiting, and causing sedation. Docs may also occasionally recommend this drug for off-label uses, such as treating insomnia, opioid withdrawal, and alcohol withdrawal.
For boosting pain medication it would be recommended to talk to the doc/pharmacist who may have prescribed the med. take care, please.

Hey Robert,
The best medications for withdrawal from long term opiate use would be Suboxone or Methadone. Suboxone requires you work with a doctor who is specifically certified to prescribe it. You can find Suboxone doctors by going to Suboxone.com and using the doctor locator. Doctor visits can get pricey but it is worth investigating.
If you haven't been on the opiates for a long time or don't want to mess with something like Suboxone or methadone, you can always taper off the oxycodone with little withdrawal. Don't know how much you are use to taking daily but would be willing to help with a taper plan if you would repost the amount you are use to.
Good luck,
Laurie
