Unfortunately, no, herpes has no cure currently but there are medications to help prevent outbreaks. Acyclovir cream is good when you feel a blister starting. You need to start applying as soon as you feel that first tingle of a blister starting. Once the blister has fully erupted it really doesnt do much but help keep more from forming. Acyclovir and Valtrex are available by Rx in pill form to take on a daily basis to prevent outbreaks. Ask your primary care physician about it. You should not have sex while you have outbreaks of blisters. This is when it can be transferred to other people.
