Can ginger help asthma and or itchy throat? thanks?

I haven't heard of ginger being used in asthma or for itchy throat.

It is noted to be used as an antiemetic, for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, motion sickness, as anti-inflammatory, diverticulitis, indigestion/heartburn, osteoarthritis.
