Can Desitin be used with cloth diapers without loosing the absorbency?

Not sure what you are asking but I used Desitin Ointment on my three boys when they were babies with cloth diapers and it always prevented or treated diaper rash. I loved it. Still use it for my grandchildren with disposible diapers.

I have heard if ointments are used with cloth diapers the cloth diapers loose the absorbency. The ointment cannot be completely washed out. My granddaughter is in cloth and DIL will not use disposables. So we are looking for a ointment that can be used w/cloth.
