Our 29yr. old son takes 1500mgs. depakote er a day, combined with prozac, wellbutrin xl, klonipin, xanax and trazodone, and sometimes sudafed pe, he has very severe and disabling ocd. Sometimes he gets very, very irritable and agitated, have some holes in the wall that he punched, we don't know if it's the frustration of the progression of his ocd, because, so far they have not found a medication to help him, he has been diagnosed with treatment resisitant ocd.
He is the sweetest person you could ever meet, so when he gets these like rage episodes, that's not him at all.
I appreciate any input, thank you so much!

Kingtech82,
First of all, I'd like to commend you for being able to deal with your son's condition in a positive way. Second, I'd like to say that he is on a LOT of medication...most of which could be attributing to his anger/aggression/agitation. Depakote, wellbutrin, prozac, and trazodone can all cause irritability, aggression, over-stimulation, and/or anger/mood swings. I hope his doctor can help find him a medication that will work well for him and give your family a better peace of mind. Good luck and God bless.
