It doesn't sound like doctors can reach an agreement if Benztropine can or cannot cause tardive dyskinesia, but regardless, I'd contact the doctor ASAP. It sounds like Tardive Dyskinesia, and that is an irreversible involuntary movement disorder if it is not taken care of quickly (usually starts with the tongue)!!! Best of luck to you!
