i had foot surgery on both Toes for ingrown nails.I have 2 tubes of Bactroban
and it works good. Issue is Protein.Podotrist says Protein speeds healing.Drugs.com says Bacteria feeds on protein and not to use cream with it
Can Bactroban be effective as a post surgical dressing?

There are many different schools of thought on "post surgical care" - some recommend topical antibiotics, others oral antibiotics, others just cover, others leave open to breath...
You are best to follow the advice of the professional responsible for your surgery.
