My wife was diagnosed with GBM IV on Jan 27, 2011 followed by a surgery on Jan 31, 2011. She has been through 42 days of Chemo and 30 days of simultaneous Radiation. This was followed by 12 x 5-days monthly cycle of temadol. However after 6 weeks of the last Temadol dose the tumor reappeared and with a very explosive growth. Within two weeks she was given the 1st dose of Avastin which will be followed by 3 doses of Avastin every two weeks.

My husband was diagnosed in May of 2010 with glioblastoma grade 4. He had surgery to remove the tumor, followed by 6 weeks of radiation and then went on temodar every 28 days and avastin every 2 weeks for a full year ending in July 2011. The avastin seemed to shrink the tumor cavity a little, but it really helped with the swelling. He is, at the moment, free of any new tumor growth. We believe this is because of the avastin. Here's hoping that avastin works as well for your wife as it has for my husband.
