I have just heard that calcium interferes with synthroid. Can I take my calcium hours later? I take my synthroid first thing in the morning. I usually have a cup of coffee with creamer within 1/2 hour. Should I change this habit?

I asked my Endo about this and she said as long as the medication is working fine for me it's o.k. I have been doing this since the beginning and my Tsh is fine. The only thing is if you take calcium tablets only take those at least 4 hours after your Synthroid or your med won't work well. I also eat after an half hour of my Synthroid and I am fine too.
Hope this helps you,
