Can you fail a breathalizer test while on peridex, I took a test right after using rinse and failed. There is nothing else that I can think of that would cause this, trying to find out as much as possible.

Peridex contains 11.6% alcohol ... it may have interfered with the breath test. It could be worth investigating. Let us know how you go.
