It is not known if Flexeril passes through breast milk in humans. If it does pass through breast milk, it may cause problems in a breastfeeding infant. you should talk to the doc who prescribed the med about taking Flexeril.
Flexeril has never been studied in any pregnant women. However, based on the chemical structure of Flexeril, it is likely to pass through breast milk. Flexeril would also be likely to cause side effects, such as drowsiness, in a breastfed infant. Generally, most docs do not recommend Flexeril for breastfeeding women, as the risks are not known. However, if the doc says that it is okay for you to take Flexeril while breastfeeding, please carefully watch for any side effects and changes in your infant.
