he has had a few bad dreams, mainly the moodiness and irritability, has had a few strong cravings, hasn't seen the dr and he will be starting his 3rd pack in a wk,he takes zoloft,xanax,and as needed for back vicodin, he has been having severe anxiety attacks, he doesn't know where his heads at so he ended our relationship, before the chantix he was VERY loving, patient,never yelled, and this has ALL just been in the last 2weeks, he just BAM out of the blue it's over.
He is 46, smoked since a teenager, quit for a yr before, was 2 packs a day smoker,
I am worried about him and hope he tells the dr this, but dont think he will,,since he feels it's not the chantix,
thank you for any input

Hi my name is Leron and i am telling you that damn Chantex works for some and not for others. I see he is on Zoloft. Chantex even though they don't advertise it is a mental med and when i tried the Chantex i was on Cymbalta and boy i went nuts and had to call my DR. and was told to immediately stop taking the Chantex. I still smoke but not as much as i use to. Would those electronic cigs work for him? I use those to.

I understand you must be devastated over your relationship,but i'm guessing since your boyfriend is on zoloft,he is dealing with other issues also.
I agree with Leron,chantix may not be agreeing with him if he was'nt acting this way before starting this med,plus he's taking it alongside zoloft so maybe the two meds are not agreeing with him taking them together.

are you aware that zoloft has lawsuits against it. Just that alone would be cause for concern him taking it. I think it a shame he left and I assure you if he was not this way before chantix is definately the cause. He wont know which end is up. Its damn near caused me a divorce and i have been on it twice. I just came off the second bout of chantix and I dont know how I made it thru it a second time and the second time and the first time differ some. I have not even and may not ever be able to round up what all came from it or was lathered by something else. tell him if he is still on it that he seriously needs to get off it . He is one of the people it was not meant for. Have him come thru here reading some of this stuff. He wont know any better and it carries for months after you quit taking chantix what with the side effects. oh and by the way his doctor cannot discuss his case with you but you can give info. to him. Id see about that zoloft as well.
