i have a rash on the back an sides of my thighs that flares up in the evening and gets worse past midnight. Is there something to relieve the itching?

I have psoriasis on my hand & it comes & goes as it pleases but it itches like crazyyy. I find Petroleum Jelly is the most effective thing to cease the intense itching. I recently bought a stand up tube 4.5oz of Creamy petrol.jelly that's Vitamin E enriched. It cost $1.00 at the local Dollar Tree store in the baby section. It's absolutely wonderful & isn't sticky & doesn't stink at all!
