Bleomycin - Can anyone help me. I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2003 and subsequently underwent 3 cycles of BEP chemotherapy. I was told by my oncologist that I was not to have pure oxygen ever again and was to wear a medical bracelet that said 'medical air only'. Now some 9 years later I am about to become a fireman. Obviously that will put me in apotential position where I may be likely to have to breath pure O2 from time to time as I wear breathing apperatus etc. Is the danger period now passed or do I need to continue to avoid any use of O2?
Is it safe for me to be given O2 again?
