Bipolar disorder medication suggestions please.?

Abilify is semi-good for anger but Geodon is great for the anger i used it myself a hwile ago

Hey hernandaz,

There are numerous medications for bipolar disorder, anger and for migraine control. There are two types of migraine medications: meds to treat a migraine and meds to prevent migraines. Depakote is a med to prevent a migraine along with treating bipolar symptoms and anger. I would give it time to build in your system (as much as a month) before deciding it isn't working.

Other medications which help bipolar disorder and migraine prevention include Neurontin. Other meds for migraine prevention include the antidepressants: Elavil and Pamelor which you could take along with a medication for the bipolar.

Again, I would give the Depakote time and then discuss with the doctor at your next appointment. He/She is the best to advise what is the best medication(s) for your conditions.

My hubby takes 100mg of Zoloft a day ,& it's kept him from comminting suicide. Hope this helps. Just a suggestion...

Hello,

I am bipolar too I´m 42 and have taken like all of us many meds.

Bipolar4life is right , what might work for me may not for you, but it is worth a try.

Ask your Dr. about Topamax (topiramate) it is used for migraine prevention and epilepsy as well and off label use for BPD.

I take it and from my experience it has worked well.-
