I had to take this medication once and I had a different problem, it messed my taste buds up for a couple of months after I took it. I said something to the pharmacist and she said it can either alkalize your GI tract or acidfy it I can't remember which but that I needed to eat yogurt several times per day to get it rebalanced. You could try that or some Probiotics, it will help restore the healthy bacteria in your GI tract and should stop the #3.
