I am currently taking Loestrin 24 Fe. However, due to new health care laws, this is no longer covered under my plan. I have no problems with Loestrin24Fe. I love it. No side effects. I also like the low levels of hormones. What do you suggest as an alternative? I'd like something with low hormones, and something that won't make me gain weight, won't cause acne, and something I won't have heavy periods while taking. Thanks!

These meds are pretty much alike, so as long as your doc has a list of what is covered, she'll be able to help you. There aren't new laws, your insurance company probably has something to lose by covering it, like they cost more or the manufacturer didn't kiss their butts enough. Insurance companies love to blame why something isn't covered on laws, when it seldom is that.
