This response may be a bit late - it appears like you actually have an infection on the sore. I hope you have seen a doctor, if you haven't then please do.

u hav not mentiond the cause 4 the swelling & pain-is it sore in ur mouth as mentiond in previous reply or is it due 2 trauma or infection ? anyway benzocaine topical 'll definitly help u 2 reliev pain but u need consult dr 2 find out the cause 4 it & may require specific treatmnt.if it is a sore mouth take vitamin tab along with this..all d best
