I wasn't sure whether you were asking about Benicar or Benicar HCT. Both can be taken with Amlodipine, but just have to be cautious with amlodipine and hydrochlorthiazide as antihypertensive effect of amlodipine and thiazide diuretics may be additive. Management consists of monitoring blood pressure during coadministration, especially during the first 1 to 3 weeks of therapy.
