No, lidocaine is chemically very different from cocaine even though their names suggest they are similar. Somethings that might cause you to test positive for cocaine besides cocaine itself include amoxicillin (an antibiotic), kidney or urinary tract disease and liver disease.

I also was taking Clindamycin and vicodine. Not sure if dentist used novicane or lidocane. This is a false positive but lab said not a chance.
