looper50... wondering has anyone had great results. I have been treated for anxiety and depresson for years with no success. Since I was young my attention and focussing has played a major part in school and holding down jobs and relationships. My girlfriend use to tell me it was like my brain was sleeping. My boyfriend says I just need to concentrate but when your brain feels like it is constantly turning channels how can you. I had to quit 3 jobs this year because of this.I am a great worker but can not stay focussed to learn anything and then I get depressed

then i would say this could work for you. its a stimulent so when the norepinephrine is released from the pill you will be able to focus better and also it should increase seretonin (norepin. and ser. both rise and lower togeather usualy) so it should make you less depressed. remember it is a CII so it pretty addictive and you never want to abuse it or you will run out and possibly go through withdrawals from lack of the substance

Adderall worked better for me. Adderall has 2 different stimulants inside the pill making it work for more people.I would also recommend a benzodiazepine for anxiety (After 1 year of taking adderall I got really anxious and had bad anxiety. Benzodiazepines have a bad reputaion thanks to all the addicts and non addicts that don't know better. They can become addictive but it's extremely rare. A study was done with patients taking Narcotics for many months and only 1 in 20,000 showed signs of having addictive properties. Of course try other things before going to benzos for anxiety. I personally take 2mg xanax 3x daily. I've been taking the same dose for many years. I've stopped taking it for a year or 2 but my anxiety was so bad I personally had to start t aking it again so I could leave the house. Hope this helps even though I forgot to mention that concerta didn't work for me. Happy Holidays!

I just started taking Concerta and don't feel it has helped me a lot. Vyvanse was the best I've taken and want to go back on it. Concerta doesn't help the cronic fatigue and fatigue is a huge part of my ADHD. I don't know if you're tired a lot but if you are Concerta doesn't seem to improve that. I hope I've helped some maybe you'll have better luck with it.

My life didn't start until Concerta! My focus has improved and my energy levels are much better now.
Taking drugs won't solve your problems, per se, you still have to "do the work"... but they can make doing the work, more doable. Depression can mess with concentration and motivation. I can relate!!
Definitely stay in therapy for ADD as well as your depression and anxiety. Perhaps a CBT could give you some new thinking skills and empowerment tools to use with the medication. Be compassionate and patient throughout the process. You deserve it.

I also have ADHD disorder and I take Stretara which is a non-addictive sister of Concerta. I know your frustration. I posted the question about Damiana [mexican herb] and its interaction with ADHD. I'm trying to get away from the prescription meds and use herbal choices. Have you tried it?
