I just got put on Ativan. Which is better Ativan or Valium, my doctor says they are the same.

They are both Benzodiazapines, but (in my opinion) that is where they part ways.
You are going to get so many different opinions on this!! Your question seems to be opinion based.
I prefer Valium because it offers a muscle relaxer type of pain relief along with quelling panic attacks.
Look out for the onslaught of opinions coming your way!!
