If the weight gain was rapid then please see your doctor. Apart from that you need to perhaps exercise a bit more... even walking will help.
If you are having a hard time bringing your weight down, and you can't exercise too much then please speak to a dietitian. They will help you choose what sort of food will help you lose weight.
