They are sort of the same thing: Xanax (alprazolam) is classified as a benzodiazepine that is specifically used to treat anxiety; Klonopin (clonazepam) is classified as a benzodiazepine derivative that is specifically an anticonvulsant. One of Klonopin's unlabeled uses; however: is to treat anxiety. Hope this helps.

I just switched over to klonopin after taking xanax got about a year and I want to know why I am a lot more drowsy and tired from when i take xanax?
