My physician prescribed Mirapex in April 2009 to help my RLS. She never mentioned I would need periodic blood tests to monitor the effects of the drug. Although, people with a kidney condition will need to have regular blood tests to check their kidney function while taking Mirapex.
Pramipexole dihydrochloride is the generic name for Mirapex, a generic less expensive drug is not yet available in my area (Illinois). Hope this info helps you.
