Are Percocet 5/325 stronger than Vicoden 10/325?

This is a hard question to answer. If she was taking Vicoden, the Percocet is usually a stronger medication. You can check it all out using the Drugs A to Z at the top of the page. Did her dodtor change her because the Vicodine wasn't controlling her pain? or what? What kind of pain is she having.? Let us know more about her situation... Mary632998

medications vary from person to person but Percocet is equivilent to oxycodone 5mg w/325mg tylenol (acetaminophen) as well, the vicodin is equal to hydrocodone 10mg with 325mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) the Percocet is the stronger of the two medications, I have taken both and I got more relief from the percocet. the question is which one of these medications works the best for your Mom? if she is in chronic pain then she needs to take whichever one of these medications that she is on (if it is written for every 4 hours she needs to take it that way) in order to keep her pain under control. once pain is out of control it is difficult and it takes time to get things back in control. I hope that she feels much better soon!
