Are lexapro and valium used for the same symptoms?

um, in a way. Valium is a benzodiazepine (anti anxiety, anti epileptic, muscle relaxer, etc) but has been found to have anti depressant qualities some how. as for lexapro, this is an antidepressant (ssri if im not mistaken) which is often used for anxiety and depression.

oh i should add that they can be prescribed togeather (usualy valium isnt used for depression, just anxiety and lexapro for either)
