No, hydroxyzine is not related to vicodin. Hydroxyzine is used to relieve the itching caused by allergies and to control the nausea and vomiting caused by various conditions, including motion sickness. It is also used for anxiety and to treat the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. Vicodin is an opioid analgesics, it is used to relieve moderate/severe pain. Vicodin is made up of two drugs: acetaminophen (tylenol) and hydrocodone (codein=opiate). The drug is so strong because the opiate part of it acts on your brain by "blocking pain sensation-so you don't realize that you are in pain", that's also where the "high" comes from for some people...

So NO - the two drugs are UNrelated.
