These were the only 2 antihistamines that were really effective for me personally.

Prolaramine is not available however there appears to be some manufactures of the same med (but it is a higher strength) the drug name is Dexchlorpheniramine.
Seldane was removed from the market in 1998 due to very severe side effects of QT-prolongation that could causes deadly heart arrythmias. The alternative is Allegra (fexofenadine). When you took Seldane the body converted it to two chemicals a good one that gave you benefite and a bad one that caused the side effect. They now make a drug that just has the good benefits with out the deadly side effects. It is allegra (fexofenadine).

As an update - According to the FDA the only approved from of Dexchlorpheniramine has been discontinued. Recently, there has been a push by the FDA to remove all unapproved cough and cold medications. My guess is that you won't be able to find it.
I would check with your local pharmacist about what is available and what he/she can order from their wholesaler.
Too bad! My understanding was that the issue with the QT segment elevation was if Seldane was given with erythromycin. I never had a problem with it.
Fexofenadine does not really work for me. I guess there is nothing out there for me then. :(
