My Doctor has prescribe doxazosin for me but i am already on trandolapril and want to know if they are compatible.I only have 1 kidney and my Doctor has just taken me off indapamide,because it was causing a problem.
Are doxazosin and trandolapril compatible?

Doxazosin and trandolapril can be used together as they work differently. There is potential for an interaction but if your doctor monitors you it should be okay.

Doxazosin is in a group of drugs called alpha-adrenergic blockers. Doxazosin relaxes your veins and arteries so that blood can more easily pass through them. It also relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.
Doxazosin is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), or to improve urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate).
Trandolapril is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme.
Trandolapril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), and to improve survival after a heart attack.
