Yes, decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm are less serious side effects of propranolol. If it is really bothersome please talk to your doctor.

wow. the person i heard it from was male. and then took me a while to think it could be my problem too. darn. i looked at the side effects for propranolol and didnt see anything mentioning it. but i guess i missed it. thanks

Tried talking to my doctor. He wasn't interested. When I asked about Viagra, he fairly snapped, "Too dangerous." Got news for him. If he has me on this long term, the propranolol might be dangerous... to my marriage. I'd kick him to the curb if he wasn't the only game in town.
i have been prescribed propanolol in a very low dose 10 mg x 3 /day as a complimentary medication for gastro problems. I like my doctor because he actually understood my problem of getting too excited and he thought i am a bit anxious, or i was... However, now i am getting very low moods, sadness, lack of energy, i can't sleep at night, suicidal thoughts ... full swing depression. The interesting part is that i ve stopped taking it since 3 days but my low moods are still here. I know that i have to "be strong" and i mentally know how BUT I CANNOT DO ANYTHING of what i know because i don't have energy. And yes, i have no sex drive at all ( i am a yoga teacher and have been experiencing real high sexual urges and feelings with regular practice of certain yoga postures, beside my healthy sexual appetite ! )
