Thank you for your response. It's worrisome as its suggested not to take over 1 gram per day, but it takes more than that to keep the pain away. What to do? I will try reducing the Vitamin C as much as I can. Enjoy your day. C.E.
If you're here because a Dr has failed you, maybe another? Maybe a nutritionist? I can't stand to hear stories like this, especially because once my Dr retires it will be my story too. Hang in there.
Thanks, again, Balbanese. I haven't had any difficulties with doctors until a few years ago. Unfortunately, I was given Levaquin even though it was known that I was allergic to many antibiotics. Why did she take a chance with her patient's well being by prescribing this FDA Black Boxed drug? It's good that you have a doctor you can trust!
Its possible you had an infection that required Levoquin to cure. Did you have an allergic reaction to it? Taking too many vitamins can be dangerous.
Yes, I had horrible reactions after the 5th dosage of the Levaquin. I had extreme swelling of my legs and other widespread severe pain. I mainly stayed in a chair for 4 days as I couldn't bend my knees, my skin around my legs was very tight, sharp pains in my neck, feet, hands, etc., along with very painful cramping. As there isn't a medical aid to counter the side affects, why does the medical profession even risk giving this medication out? I'm taking all of these supplements, which are helping, but I will cut down on the Vitamin C as much as I can to help control the pain. Thanks for your comment.
I would tell doctors I'm allergic to it if I were you, such terrible reactions to go through.
I have a friend who is being treated for cancer and she is given incredibly high amounts of vitamin c via IV. She has no bad side effects. I would ask a naturopathic doctor, a chiropractor, an osteopath and/or a natural nutritionist. I have a severe reaction from it too that has lasted since Jan and it is actually getting worse. I am doing large amounts of protein and I am looking into the vit c, d and also magnesium aspects. Feel free to contact me, k? Peace and all good, Beej
